PalTalk
Description
PalTalk is a tool for enhancing traditional instant messaging and chat functionality in internet chat programs. It is a diverse and vibrant voice and video chat service. SUO instructors use PalTalk to broadcast lectures live on the internet.
Southern University's Online Live (SOUL) Lecture Series
SUO instructors broadcast live lectures on the internet during weekly meetings with their students. Once students have downloaded and installed PalTalk on their computers, they can open the instructor's room and listen in. If a student wishes to interact with the lecturer, she/he must raise her/his hand by clicking on the hand icon at the top of the page. Students can get to the SOUL room after installing PalTalk by clicking on this link.
